The Tech Group, Inc. was founded in 1985, by Robert DiAiso, P.E., AICP and Daniel Tsamouras, P.E.

Originally called The Land Tech Corporation, the company grew rapidly, providing civil engineering design services for large planned unit developments, Russett Centre and Riva Trace, and golf course communities, Walden, along with commercial design for shopping centers and industrial parks as a consultant to Trammell Crow and other commercial developers. During that period of time, the company limited its geographical base to Anne Arundel County and the Eastern shore of Maryland.

In 1993, The LandTech Corporation carried out a merger/acquisition with Land Services, Inc., owned by Jeff Kozero, P.E. to form The Tech Group, Inc. with Robert DiAiso, Jeffrey Kozero, and Daniel Tsamouras as Principals.

After the merger The Tech Group provided services throughout the state of Maryland. During the 1990's, The Tech Group rapidly expanded, opening offices in Denver, Colorado; Fairfax, Virginia; and Naples, Florida. Through its Denver office, TTG provided on-site engineering services after the 1994 earthquake in Los Angeles.

In 2001, TTG purchased Day and Associates to create DayTech Engineering, LLC and opened an office in the town of California in St. Mary's County, Maryland. During this period of rapid growth TTG provided full civil engineering, planning, environmental, landscape architecture, and land surveying services. The company was responsible for the design of Largo Plaza regional shopping center, Perrywood planned community, the mixed use community of the Village of Waugh Chapel, Worthington Manor Golf Course, and Compass Pointe Golf Courses.

In 2004, Daniel Tsamouras retired.

Today, The Tech Group, Inc., is a veteran owned company whose president is Robert DiAiso, P.E., AICP, a US Naval Academy graduate who holds dual Masters degrees in Civil Engineering and Planning.
